Chinese Porcelain 2

by Josef Brustmann
translated by Paul-Henri Campbell

blue wasting away
is my life
at least I am touched
by a few things
when a reed of grass
a wind
a sound
touches me

that we’re so prone to dying
makes it all so valuable—fragile
like old chinese porcelain
