A Lesson in Futility (Nine Haiku)

by Mike Jewett

She smells of sprigs of mint
Covered in dew
Her lips glow with moonlight

Seaspray kiss on golden hair
Salty, always smiles
A golden-tan belly

Sweet and cedary
She sparkles in the silvery moon
Her scent makes me wild

Sexy black bra
Lacy in my dreams
Unhooked in the night

She breathes in strawberry
Hookah smoke, locks lips to mine,
We breathe each other

April eyes glow
July bodies writhe
October glances melt

Fiery red hair
Drives passion in men
Drives lust in me

A snake coils ’round
Her lithe glistening skin
:: back dimple kiss ::

Arrivederci smile
Accentuates bucking hips
Crickets sing their song
