April began writing fiction in elementary school, but by college she was writing poetry almost exclusively. She reads everything from product labels to best sellers when she’s not writing. As a full-time mother of two, her days consist of wearing yoga pants and living on the edge of sanity, but that’s often where the best stories come from. Her poetry has also appeared in the Belle Reve Literary Journal. She has a B.S. in English from BYU-Idaho and an M.F.A. from Antioch University.
