Cathy Windham, at age sixty, is still a Military Brat. Always adapting to her environment and aspiring to improve her skills and help others. She was born in Bad Kreuznach, Germany while her father was stationed there with the US Army. Her early years were spent living in many places throughout the US and again as a teen back in Germany. Upon completing high school, she became a Registered Nurse and worked various fields of nursing over a forty year career until retiring in 2013. During the time her husband battled with cancer, she searched for avenues to help her cope with the anxiety and stress associated with working and helping him through his fight. It was at that time she decided to write down some of her feelings in poems and short stories. Before long it became a very helpful outlet. Part of grief recovery is sharing and opening up her world to others in hopes it may help them on a similar journey.
