Josef Brustmann

Josef Brustmann was born in Teisendorf (Bavaria) in 1954. He is a German comedian, musician, and poet. The son of a large Moravian family, he studied music at the Munich Conservatory (Münchner Hochschule für Musik). He became a well-known artist with »Bairisch Diatonischer Jodelwahnsinn« that combines traditional Bavarian music with experimental styles. With this solo program, he is frequently featured on national television in Munich’s Lach- und Schießgesellschaft. He has produced various musical albums and is the author of two collections of poetry. His work has received a great number of awards and widespread recognition.
