William Rush

I live in Melbourne, Australia. I wrote my first poem at the age of seven. Now in my seventies, I have recently published my third collection, Into the World’s Light (Interactive Press). Aware of the mystery that accompanies the poetic process,  I like Thoreau’s description of its outcome as ‘healthy speech’’. I am a retired pharmacist with a theology degree and enjoy people, travel, tennis, art and classical music.

  1. G’day Bill,

I’m writing from Adelaide. I thought I’d google you to see if I could send you a message, and this popped up so thought I’d give it a burl.

I just want to pass on my compliments. A friend, the poet Louise Nicholas, thought I might enjoy it, so she gave me your book “Into The World’s Light” for Christmas. She was right. I just want to tell you how much I admired and enjoyed your poetry.

    Cheers, Russ
